Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Consultant with expertise in taxation to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax law, including experience with federal, state, and local tax regulations. As a legal consultant with a focus on taxation, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our clients on tax-related matters.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting legal research and analysis to provide accurate and timely tax advice to clients.
• Drafting legal documents, such as tax opinions, memoranda, and other related tax documents
• Reviewing and analyzing tax documents, including returns and filings, for potential tax risks and issues
• Advising clients on tax issues related to their business operations, including tax planning, compliance, and audit defense.
• Representing clients in tax-related legal proceedings, including negotiations, mediations, and arbitrations
• Keeping up to date with changes in tax legislation and case law that may affect clients' business operations.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar Association
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a law firm or corporate legal department with a focus on taxation
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations
• Excellent legal research and analysis skills, with a focus on taxation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proven track record of providing expert legal advice and support to clients on tax-related matters.
