Pakbooking is an ambitious startup providing an online platform where people can book hotel rooms. We aim to be the first nationwide, mainstream online platform for hotel booking in Pakistan. We achieve this ambition by providing a free easy-to-use website /app, integrated with secured payment systems and a large coverage of hotels verified by us. Our aim is to innovate and bring convenience to the hotel industry in Pakistan, for the benefit of both hotels and the people.

Currently a very small percentage of the country’s population book hotels online when going for a domestic tour. With the growing economy and government’s focus to boost tourism in Pakistan, online hotel reservations and booking are of utmost importance. To this end, we provide a complete end-to-end solution for hotels where they can advertise their hotels on our website and will get free software from us for their hotel management system. Our website and mobile app will provide access to thousands of hotels and online reservation and booking options to people so they can better organize their trips. Easily see pictures of the rooms, prices and make comparisons before booking or making a reservation.

About the role

As a General Manager you will be responsible for a range of activities such as:

Entrepreneurial person focusing on business development and as such, key role being

Interact and align with the marketing agency and work together with them to achieve the company marketing KPIs and business goals.

Pitch to hotels’ owners and managers so that they register and advertise on our website.

Facilitate and provide support to hotels managers / receptionists in using our online platform.

Interact and coordinate with the technical software and web development team activities. Provide them with customers and consumers feedback to prioritize software features in future releases.

Pitch the business to relevant government and private sector parties and present in various business events and exhibitions.

In future, manage a small team of marketing, sales and customer support engineers.

Requirements

·        You have at least a Bachelor’s degree, ideally in management, marketing or a related field.

·        You are fluent in Urdu and English, ideally also in Pashto.  

·        You are located in Islamabad or nearby or flexible to relocate.

·        You like to travel. There will be a lot of traveling involved.

·        You have at least 3 years of experience in a customer-focused role.

·        You have a good understanding of business development and (social media) marketing, both in B2B and B2C models.

More importantly,  

·        You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·        You are a people person. You feel comfortable with and enjoy talking to new people.

·        You are highly driven, performance and goal oriented and you like to grow fast with the business goals.

·        You take ownership and responsibility.

Salary and Remuneration

·        A highly competitive salary ranging from PKR 60,000 to 100,000 monthly depending on your skills and experience.

·        A yearly review of the salary based on your performance with a lot of growth potential should the business succeed.

·        In addition to the salary, you will have the opportunity to earn a significant amount in commission and bonuses.

·        You will be reimbursed expenses such as telephone costs, transport, and accommodation costs for your work related trips.
